About Youth for Christ

Youth for Christ Ministries of Sacramento is one chapter of Youth for Christ/USA.  YFC/USA, a branch of Youth for Christ International, is located in Denver, Colorado.

YFC Ministries of Sacramento celebrated its 60th year serving in Sacramento! The organization had its official beginnings here in Sacramento in early 1946 after a group of men decided in late 1945 to sit down and start the process of bringing Youth For Christ to Sacramento.

Our Vision
The vision of Youth for Christ is, as a part of the body of Christ, to see every young person in every people group in every nation have the opportunity to make an informed decision to become a follower of Jesus Christ and to become a part of a local church.

Our Mission
The mission of Youth for Christ is to participate in the body of Christ in responsible evangelism of youth, presenting them with the person, work and teachings of Christ and discipling them into the local church.

Our Story
Since 1944, Youth for Christ has had a distinctive history of youth evangelism. In the early 1940s, during World War II, many young men, mostly ministers and evangelists, were holding large rallies in Canada, England and the United States.
